Groton Health Center
Groton School Health Center renovation of about 2,500 sf. Work included new floor configuration to add 2 additional health rooms, new finishes: drywall, ceilings, flooring, paint, plumbing for a new sink at nurse station, new HVAC and electrical systems and upgrades to fire protection and fire alarm system. Work included new door and door operator for bathroom on the first floor and kitchen modifications to add a cooktop and associated hood.
Boston University Sabelhaus
Berkeley Building Company has teamed up with Boston University on a 1,850SF renovation of one of their existing lab spaces. The renovated space will serve as Boston Universities latest 3-D Printing Lab Space that will accommodate the research needs of incoming faculty Dr. Drew Sabelhaus. The project is well underway with a target completion date of September 1st, 2023.
Harvard University Smith Center
Harvard HUPAD project is an open office concept. The scope of the work involves demolition of select MEP components and walls; furnish and install new walls, ceilings, MEP/FA components, finishes, and millwork. The tenants will have plenty of space and a nice view of Harvard Square Yard.
Boston College McMullen Museum
In September of 2022, BBC submitted a proposal to perform some work for Boston College at the McMullen Museum of Art. The converted mansion on Commonwealth Avenue also serves as a teaching museum and conference center. BC Alum Peter Lynch (Fidelity Vice-Chairman) has made a large gift to the museum, including a Picasso from his personal art collection, that will be on display. The project included adding wall space, relocating electrical devices, audio-visual equipment, and HVAC T-Stats. The work also included revised lighting controls, partial light fixture replacement, installing a conduit raceway system for a new security system as well as miscellaneous lobby improvements. The work started in January as is nearing completion.
Boston University Questrom School of Business
This project consisted of a renovation of an existing multi-function room on the 4th floor of a 10-story building that can be divided into 3 spaces with new operable partitions. Buildout included new finishes, light fixtures, and a state-of-the-art A/V system that controls all functions in the space, including lights and window shades!
109 Irving
This historic property renovation included a single-family residence with the first level and exterior as dedicated entertainment space.
Project details included, structural reinforcement throughout, reframing to support a modernized open concept living space, and extensive infrastructure upgrades to provide efficient heating and cooling.
An important element of this project was restoring historic details, new finishes to recreate historic elements, building automation system, and a new high-end landscape package.
197 Coolidge Street
Existing residential home was converted into office space for the school’s administration department. Work included replacement of existing hvac and ventilation systems, new LED lighting, new fire alarm and emergency lighting systems, restroom upgrades, and ADA accessibility changes along with new painting and carpeting throughout the building.
